Outfit of the Week- Crop Top

At last, moving day has come and gone, the day I thought would never happen. Phoenix is a beautiful paradise in the high desert of Arizona. We live far enough out of the city so we aren't covered by a blanket of smog, but close enough to have access to everything Phoenix has to offer (sports sports sports sports). The weather here is beautiful this time of year, with temperatures in the high eighties/ low nineties. Perfect weather to get a tan! SO naturally, I've been spending the vast majority of my time out by the pool in my bathing suit. However, one of the best parts about being in a new place is changing your wardrobe, and since I completely changed climate I had a great opportunity to do that! I opted for an outfit that suits my bod type quite well: a crop top and high waisted shorts. High waisted shorts are something I never thought I'd wear, so the first time I bought a pair I bought these, which are midi-rise shorts, I know, not quite as daring. To my surprise these shorts worked with my body type quite well, being that I have super long legs and a short torso! I think I got this particular pair at Kohl's last year. My top is one of my favorites that I have! It is a simple white cropped t-shirt with lace detailing over it. I think this shirt is so great because it can work with anything: shorts, jeans, a skater skirt, whatever you want! My shoes are a staple in my closet, red Vans. This particular pair hold a special place in my heart because I bought them in Nashville when I met my favorite band, Late Nite Reading. They're a bit distressed now, the years have not been kind, but of course I still love them. Looking forward to a new life in Phoenix and many summery outfits to come. Now posting underneath my signature where I got each piece of clothing!

Fashion Favorites- Summer Sandals

So, my mom and I went on a little bit of a shopping binge at our little mall in Durango, because neither of us had any Summer clothes, and spent a little bit too much money (oops). At our mall we really only have a few good stores like JcPenny's and Maurices, and even those are so small they don't have any very good options. But, this time we actually found some really cute clothes!!! My mom got some tank tops, shorts, and some one piece bathing suits (surprisingly cute!). I got some simple tank tops, a few other shirts, a pair of shorts, and a bathing suit. My favorite of the things I got was from Maurices, which is a store I usually don't get things from, but buy things for my mom. So we went in there just to look and I wandered over to the shoes, knowing that I only have one pair of sandals that are really old and not very cute, that I really only wear because of a lack of options. These sandals were the first ones I saw, and I fell in love with them! They have a lot of braided gold straps as well as some straps that look like a fake snake skin. They zip up in the back which I thought would be uncomfortable but they are surprisingly comfy! These sandals can pair with almost any outfit, whether it be jeans or shorts or even a dress. I think that these would be good for a more dressy outfit as well. Usually things can get pretty expensive at Maurices, so I hesitantly looked at the price... What do you know, only $29!! I think that's a pretty good deal. Today I paired them with some Hollister skinny jeans, rolled up past my ankles, and a white tank top. Link Below.

Outfit of the Week ♥ - Rainy Day.. It

It was really cold and rainy today, so I created my look based on the weather. Since moving day is coming up and I got rid of a lot of my clothes for warmer weather, my closet has been looking pretty bare lately. I mostly kept tank tops and jeans. My top is a white tank top with crochet detailing in the front. I believe I got this at Target a couple of years ago, and it has served me well. Simple tank tops are so easy to pair with any outfit, whether it be warm or cold weather. My jeans are light wash skinny jeans from Hollister, also owned for a few years now. To top off the look I added a heavy knitted cardigan which I bought from Forever 21 during the winter months. It's warm enough so that it serves as a cozy companion on rainy days like this. Sadly, days like this are soon to be few and far between as my family prepares for our move to the valley of the sun, from my beloved home in Colorado (not so beloved to my parents unfortunately). So. it looks like shorts and sundresses are in my near future!
